Neumann Skates Pass Buffalo State 4-1

12/4/2005 12:00:00 AM

Dec. 4, 2005

The Knights faced off against ECAC West Confernce rival Buffalo State in the second match up of the weekend series this afternoon, defeating the Bengals 4-1.

Neumann dominated all three periods out shooting the Bengals 33-20. The Knights took a commanding lead when Lindsay Parsons recorded her 98th point of her career, after controlling the rebound and hitting the puck to the top shelf for the 1-0 lead. Neumann's Jessica Lister put the Knights up 2-0 in the second minute of the second period after receiving a pass from Jessica Bryan for the second of Neumann's four well earned goals this afternoon. Bryan was then called for interference at 17:59 giving the Bengals their ninth power play of the day. This time however Buffalo State was able to capitalize off their extra man advantage, scoring at 18:47 of the second period. The Bengals' goal did not slow the Knights as Neumann added two more goals before the day was done. Freshman Bianca DeSantis scored her first goal of the season, taking a hard shot from the point, and then collecting the rebound to put the Knights up 3-1. Teammate Robyn Armstrong added the Knights final goal of the day on an open net late in the game.

Neumann will return to action on Friday, December 30th, when they will participate in the St. Michaels Tournament in Colchester, Vermont.
