Aston, PA - The Neumann College field hockey team slipped to 0-3 on the season with a tough 1-0 loss to Wilkes on Sunday.
The Knights managed to hold the Lady Colonels scoreless in the first half of this afternoon's contest. The Knights were out shot 26-12 but the effort of newcomer Chelsea Ward, who had 19 saves in the contest, kept the Knights in the game. Unfortunately, Wilkes caught a lucky break when Knights Thomas scored at the 36:18 mark of the second half on a loose ball in front of the cage.
The Knights will return to action on Thursday, September 8, 2005 when they host PAC conference opponent Eastern University at 4:00 p.m.
