Aston, PA- The Neumann Knights (0-4, 0-1 PAC)were set back4-2by Pennsylvania Athletic Conference rival, Eastern University (1-2, 1-0 PAC) at the Bruder Fields in Aston, PA.

 

The Neumann Knights (0-4) dominated the first half scoring an early goal (11:56) due to the efforts of Michelle Coderre who took an assist from Amanda Biagi. Neumann's defense allowed the Knights tohold onto the 31minute lead until Eastern's Jamie Heck tied things up in the second half, scoring in the 42^nd minute and caused the Knights to shaken. Eastern capitalized on Neumann's unsteadiness, scoring three consecutive goals before Neumann's Samantha Di Fonzo put a stop to things, scoring the last goal of the game, and her first colligate goal in the64^th minute of the contest.

 

Defensively sophomore Chelsea Ward had 16 saves in the cage for the Knights.

 

Neumann is scheduled to host Cedar Crest College at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2005.
