The Neumann Men's Basketball team (3-1 PAC, 4-8 Overall) hosted the Cougars of College Misericordia (2-4 PAC, 2-11 Overall) in a PAC this afternoon. The Knights ran out to a 26-12 lead by 4:31 of the first half led by Andre Wright with 9 points. Tony Rezykowski led the Cougars to a 13-4 run to bring Neumann's lead to only five at the half (30-25).
In the second half the tables turned in favor of the Cougars. By the 12:00 mark College Misericordia had taken a five point lead and never looked back. "We got away from what we were supposed to be doing" coach Nugent explains. "We gave them more confidence, and they made it count when it came down to X's and O's". College Misericordia shot 41.3% from the field and an impressive 85% from the line to secure a 62-53 conference win. Andre Wright led the Knights with 15 points, and right behind him was Elisha Hannibal with 10 points.
The Knights look to rebound Monday at Gwynedd-Mercy College in PAC conference action at 8:00 p.m.
