GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. - Neumann 's (5-8, 4-1 PAC) two point differentail was just enough to grab a 68-66 win over the Gwynedd Mercy Griffins Monday evening in a Pennsylvania Athletic Conference match up.

Neumann Knight Gregory Cunningham scored just six points, but his reverse layup and one of two free throws in the last 22 seconds helped Neumann take home the win. Elisha Hannibal netted a game-high 21 points while Andre Wright added 15. Cunningham also added seven assists.

Led by Hannibal, who scored 18 of his 21 points in the first half, the Knights (5-9, 4-3 PAC) went up by 15 midway through the first stanza. Gwynedd Mercy pulled within five (37-32) before the break, but the Knights had no intention of surrendering. As the two teams battled for the next 20 minutes, Neumann went up by four with just over five minutes remaining. Gwynedd continued to challenge the Knights, scoring back-to-back buckets to tie the game at 63-63 with 2:08 to play. In the final minutes, Neumann's Andre Wright gave the Knights a two-point lead after sinking two from the line. As play see-sawed back and forth, a big three-pointer by the Griffins, with 49 seconds, restored a one-point edge for the evening's host.
