In their first PAC match up of the New Year the Neumann Knights women's basketball team defeated Cedar Crest College 62-38 in Allentown, Pennsylvania Saturday evening. The Knights held a commanding lead through out the conference match up; recording a 32-17 first half tally.

 

The Knights were led by Syreeta Brown (St. Elizabeth/Wilmington, DE) with 12 points and Amanda Rodriguez (Notre Dame/Bethlehem, PA) who added 9 points and 9 rebounds. Rounding out the Knights scoring leaders was Knights sophomore Ashley Leonard (Upper Merion/King of Prussia, PA). Leonard went 3 for 4 from the field adding 9 rebounds, 1 block and 3 steals in the 62-38 win.

 

Neumann will return to action on Monday, January 9, 2006 at Lebanon Valley in Annville, PA. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
