Neumann opened the first half on a ten-point run and never looked back. The Knights took a 30-10 lead over the Nittany Lions and ended the first half up 50-19.

 

Neumann went on a 13-point run midway through the second period taking an 83-35 lead with just over 6 minutes left to play. Neumann went on to win the game 88-39.

 

Neumann was led by Brittany Whetts, with a career high 27 points, and Dominique Thompson, who scored 12 for the Knights in the win. Ashley Leonard and Mary Beth Szczesny chipped in with 9 each and Syreeta Brown scored 6.

 

Penn State Berks was led by Courtney Bailey who had 15 points and 15 rebounds in the loss.

 

Neumann will return to action on Thursday when they hosted Marywood University in Conference play at 6:00 p.m.
