Aston, Pa. - Neumann College opened the second game of its weekend series against ECAC West rival, SUNY Plattsburgh on Sunday afternoon at the Ice Works Arena in Aston, Pennsylvania.
Despite winning 58 percent of the face offs, Neumann could not stop the Cardinals from scoring four straight goals, two in the first periord and two more in the second.
Neumann managed to shutout the Cardinals in the third period and out shoot their opponents 11-8 in the final 20:00 minutes of play. However, the Knights were unable to capitalize on their momentum.
Starting goalie Teresa White recorded 30 saves on the day while Plattsburgh State goalie Bree Doyle stopped 20 in the win.
Neumann will return to the ice next weekend when they will be hosted by the newest member of the ECAC West, Oswego State at 3:00 p.m. in Oswego, NY.
