The Neumann Knights women's basketball team recorded a 76-58 win over Arcadia University in PAC play this evening. This win marks the Knights six straight win of the season and third in the PAC conference.
Neumann (6-1, 3-0) was led by freshman Dominique Thompson with 17 points and PAC Player of the Week Brittany Whetts with 11 points and 6 boards.
Neumann opened up the first half on a 10-0 run before Arcadia battled back to cut the lead to 2, 10-8, at 12:59. Syreeta Brown hit a trey for Neumann at 10:17 to push the visitors lead to 15-8 and inflated it to a 13 point advantage at the half.
Neumann led 46-40 with ten minutes remaining in the game and sunk 9 of 10 from the line in the closing minutes to preserve the 67-58 victory.
The Knights return to action on Thursday when they host King's College at the Bruder Gymnasium in Aston, Pa.
