Aston, Pa. - The Neumann College women's basketball team (7-1, 3-0 PAC) scored 37 points in the second half to turn a 1-point halftime deficit in to a 13-point margin, and rolled to a 64-51 victory over King's College on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at the Bruder Gymnasium.
Syreeta Brown led the Knights with 13 points while both Dominique Thompson and Brittany Whetts added 9 for the Knights in the win. Whetts also pulled down nine boards.
The Knights forced 17 turnovers, leading to 13 points and received 27 points from their bench in the 13 point win. They also held the Monarch's to 34 rebounds, out rebounding their opponents, 42-34.
The victory improved Neumann's record to 7-1 overall, while the Monarch's fall to 5-4.
Next up, the Knights will square off against Fairleigh Dickinson at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in Madison, New Jersey.
