Ryan McCauley Drives Neumann to an 11-10 Win Over Manhattanvile College.

Purchase, NY-The Neumann College men's lacrosse team (1-1) earned their first win of the 2006 season with a 11-10 win over Manhattanville College in non-conference action this afternoon. 

Trailing by one after both the first and second quarters, Neumann was able to shut down the Valiants offense in the third stanza. This was due to the stellar defensive efforts of starting goalie Mike McCauley who had 15 saves in the win. Neumann's offense, capitalizing off of that effort, was was able to take advantage of a number of sucessful clears, scoring three consectutive goals to take over the lead.

Despite four Valiant goals in the fourth quarter the Knights were able to maintain the lead with three of their own, including the game winner, which was scored by Ryan McCauley. McCauley scored his seventh goal of the game after receiving a pass from Devin Mossor late in the game, giving Neumann their first win of the 2006 season. 

The Knights return to action on Wednesday, March 15 when they take on DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania at 3:30 p.m.
