Final Stats
The Neumann College Knights extended their winning streak to six, after shutting down the Ramblers of Rosemont College 9-0 and 8-0 in an afternoon double header in Rosemont, PA.
Neumann's Kelli Ann Meehan pitched a five inning shut out allowing only three hits and striking out five in game one. Samantha Duncan led offensively for the visitors going three for four with a double and an RBI. Caitlin Hanrahan also went 3 for 4 at the plate batting in three of her fellow teammates. Kim Zlupko rounded out the 3 for 4 combinations. The starting shortstop scored three runs for the Knights and added an RBI to her credit in the 9-0 win.
In the nightcap Neumann's Angela Sebasto pitched a five inning no hitter walking
two and striking out eight Ramblers in the 8-0 win. This is the freshman's first no hitter of her colligate career. Sebasto also went 2 for 4 at the plate, scoring a run and 4 RBI's. Kirsten Lawlor stepped up going three for three, while Hanrahan continued to make an impact going two for two with a double, two runs scored and two RBI's.
The Knights will return to action on Monday when they will host Widener at 4:00 p.m.
