The Neumann Knights Men's soccer squad (0-3) found themselves on unusual grounds Wednesday, as they hosted Rutgers-Camden University (1-1) under the lights at Widener University, after poor field conditions caused their home opener to be moved to Chester, Pennsylvania on Wednesday.

In the first half of the non-conference event, the Knights kept it a close game with solid defense, led by junior Matthew Higgins and captain Jimmy Diamond. Neumann found themselves down at the half 1-0 after Rodney Guishard scored his first of two goals at 6:24.

During the first minute of the second half the Raptors bit again with Guishard's 2nd goal of the game. The Knights fought back with offence from mid-fielder Jimmy Diamond who recorded two shots on goal for the team. Rutgers-Camden added to their lead at 61:33 when sophomore Andrew Dorsey scored off a cross to secure the 3-0 win.

Freshman Cory Grove saw his first colligate start in goal and recorded 5 saves on the night for the Knights.

Neumann will regroup for Saturday when they host Eastern University in a conference match-up.
