Allentown, Pa. - The Neumann women's soccer team (5-10-1, 4-3-1 PAC) shut out Cedar Crest College, 4-0, Saturday in Allentown, Pa. Sophomore goalkeeper Caitlin Agnew recorded 6 saves and her second shutout of the season.
The Knights were dominant throughout the game, outshooting the Falcons 16-7, and producing nine corner kick opportunities to Cedar Crest's one.
Neumann controlled the ball for the majority of the first half. At 4:31 Angela Juliano set up Brittany Barley who put the Knights up 1-0. Twenty-four minutes later Regina Juliano connected with Maureen Muntz giving the Knights a 2-0 lead going into halftime.
The second half saw an equally aggressive Neumann offense. Stephanie Lutz started things off in the 74th minute with an unassisted shot to the back of the net, marking her second goal of the season. Neumann sealed the Falcons fate in the 81st minute when Alyssa Collazo teamed up with Angela Juliano for the final goal of the day.
Neumann returns to PAC action this Tuesday, Oct. 16 when they host vs. Centenary College, on Senior Day, at 4 p.m. on Knights Field.
