Aston, Pa. - On February 15 at 8:00 p.m. Neumann College (15-12, 10-8) defeated Immaculata University (10-15, 10-8) in a Pennsylvania Athletic Conference match up at the Bruder Gymnasium in Aston, Pa.
 
Leon Dales and Ronnie Fields were recognized before the game as the Knights seniors.  Leon and Ronnie will both graduate with degrees in Sports Management.  Leon has put up 178 points and 88 assists.  Ronnie has been accounted for 776 points with 86 assists.
 
In the beginning of play the Knights started off fast scoring 6 points right away, but that didn't stop the Mighty Macs.  The Knights defense was looking a little slow in the beginning byut they soon found chemistry coming back from 7 point lead.  Derahn Patrick lead the Knights in the first half with 12 points.
 
Immaculata started to hurt themselves with costly fouls sending Mike Hitchens to the line 3 times.  Hitchens hit all of his free throws helping the Knights take the lead at the end of the half 36 - 26.
 
The second half was of play was a back and forth battle between both teams.  The Knights started off the second off with a steal by Leon Dales who drove it home with a lay-up increasing making the score 33-26.  
 
Immaculata tried to set the tone for their offense with an incredible alley-oop early.  From there the Knights and the Mighty Macs fought hard with each other trying to get the upper hand.  Great plays were made by both teams on offense and defense.  
 
With 39 seconds Immaculata's Dan Lepone hit a 3 pointer to make the score 65-63.  After that the Knights inbounded the ball and was called for traveling setting up a Immaculata tie.  With 18.7 Head Coach Corey Stizel calls a time out to set up a game winning shot.  With the ball bouncing on the rim and the seconds winding down  the Knights grab the rebound and Ronnie Fields was fouled as he was going for a shot leaving .3 seconds on the clock.  
 
That foul sent senior Ronnie Fields to the foul line with 2 shots and a chance to win the game.  Fields drains both foul shots to give the Knights the win 67-65.
 
The Knights will be heading to the first round of play offs February 17 at Eastern University, the time has yet to be announced.
