Box Score

Aston, Pa. - The Neumann Knights hosted the Hornets of Shenandoah University in a PAC men's lacrosse matchup in Aston, Pennsylvania Saturday afternoon. Neumann's Devin Mossor scored four goals for the Knights but, it was not enough to put one in the win column.

Shenandoah scored two goals early in the first quarter but the Knights answered with two goals of their own, the first by Jason Kahn and the second by Kevin Best, his first of the season, to tie the game a two. Shenandoah scored 22 seconds later to take the lead. However, the Knights did not let the Hornets hold the lead for long. Neumann's Matt Toth converted a pass from Dan Gregg at 4:31 to tie the game once again.  Unfortunately, Shenandoah's Ray Rice closed out the scoring with an unassisted goal at 2:31 giving the visitors the edge going into the second quarter.

Rice's goal sparked a three goal scoring run that was stopped by Neumann's Jason Kahn who found the net with 5:29 left in the second quarter.  Kahn's goal was followed up by fellow attackman Dan Gregg, who brought the Knights within one, after he scored his second of the day, less than a minute later. However, Shenandoah answered back with 53 seconds left on the clock, to close out the scoring in the first half up 7-5.

Neumann's Devin Mossor opened scoring in the third quarter when he scored his first of four goals 1:49 into play. However, the Hornets answered with five consecutive goals to take a commanding 12-6 third period lead over the Knights. Nevertheless Neumann continued to fight. Mossor scored three goals in the fourth quarter and Dan Gregg added his third of the day, but the Knights were not able to over take their visitors ending the day down 15-10.

Neumann will return to action at 4:00 p.m. on April 11 at home against Immaculata University.
