Box Score

Dallas, Pa. - The Neumann men's lacrosse team played well against their conference rival, College Misericordia, but were outscored 17-5 in 60 minutes of play.

Misericordia held Neumann scoreless in the first period building a 4-0 lead and extended their lead to 10-1 as they entered halftime. Neumann's sole first half goal was scored, with 5:29 left in the second period, by Steve Lis off an assist by Ryan McCauley who earned his 100th point of the season on the play.

McCauley added his 101st point of his career when he scored the Knights' second goal of the day, a minute into play in the 3rd period, off a pass from Jason Kahn. The two Knights reversed rolls on Neumann's third goal which was scored by Kahn and assisted by McCauley to make the score 10-3 at the 13 minute mark.

In the final 15 minutes of play Kahn scored an unassisted goal and assisted on Steve Lis's second goal of the day to close the gap, but his efforts were not enough to lift the Knights past the Cougars.

Freshman goalie Matthew Bateman faced 23 shots, making six saves in the loss.

Neumann returns to action on May 10, when they travel to Stevens, Maryland for a 4:00 pm match-up with Villa Julie.
