Aston, Pa. - The Neumann College volleyball team used solid defense and an outstanding attack game to sweep Immaculata University (30-10, 30-16 and 30-17) in its conference opener in Immaculata, Pennsylvania Monday night. Neumann (6-2, 1-0 PAC) held the Mighty Macs (1-4, 0-1 PAC) to a negative .106 hitting percentage and did not allow them to break 20 points in any of the three games.

Neumann connected on 8 of 16 attacks in Game 1 and closed out the game on an 11-0 run which included four service aces by Rachele Dimichele

Although it may have seemed impossible to play better in the attack game, the Knights managed to do so. Neumann hit .406 in Game 2, led by Rachael Sokolovich's five kills. The Knights built up a 16-point lead that was insurmountable for the Mighty Macs to overcome.

Game 3 was more of the same for the Knights on both sides of the ball. The final game saw Neumann emerge with dominating play at the net which earned them their first PAC sweep of the season.
