Center Valley, Pa. - Neumann suffered a 5-1 loss to DeSales University in women's soccer action this afternoon.
Despite a 2-0 half-time deficit and three consecutive second half goals by the bulldogs, Neumann avoided a shutout in the 82nd minute when team captain Casey Geary (Ocean City, NJ /Ocean City) scored an unassisted goal which put the Knights on the board.
Neumann keeper Caitlin Agnew (Philadelphia, Pa. /Little Flower) was busy in net stopping 10 of 15 Bulldog shots on goal. With the loss Neumann falls to 1-5 while DeSales improves to 1-3-1 overall.
Neumann is off Saturday but will return to action on Sunday to host Muhlenberg College on Knights' Field in Aston, Pa. The game is slated for 2:00 p.m.
