ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Neumann College women's ice hockey team fell to #6 RIT, 8-2, in the second game of the weekend.
Robyn Armstrong and Brittany Metcalfe scored the goals for Neumann. Mel Brunet started the game in net and made five saves. Laura Keeley came into the game in the first period and made 13 saves.
Shots on goal for the game were RIT 26, Neumann 25. The Knights out shot RIT 12-5 in the third period. Both of Neumann's goals came on the power play. RIT netted two power play goals and two shorthanded goals.
Neumann falls to 0-2, 0-2 ECAC West on the young season. RIT is 3-0. The Knights will travel to Oswego State next weekend for games on Saturday and Sunday. The puck is set to drop at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
