Sebasto and Keenan Make School History in Sweep Over Rosemont

Aston, PA- The Neumann College softball team swept Rosemont College 33-0 and 19-0 in PAC Conference play today. The Knights dominated all aspects of the game including in game one Angela Sebasto pitched a no hitter which is her second of the season and freshman Julia Keenan pitched her first collegiate no hitter. This is the first time in school history that the Knights have had back to back no hitters.

In game one, the Knights came out swinging scoring in the first inning. Tina Walsh, Kim Kirkpatrick, and Jen Goslin all hit homeruns for the Knights. Tina Walsh lead the team with five RBIs in the first game. The game ended in the fifth inning due to the mercy rule. Ang Sebasto threw 10 strikeouts in her no hitter that is her second on the season.

In game two, the Knights came out just as they did in their first game scoring ten runs in the first inning. Audrie Porter hit her first homerun of the season in the bottom of the third to go up 14-0. The Knights continued to put runs on the board going up 19-0 and in the top of the fifth Julia Keenan completed her no hitter and the sweep of Rosemont College.

The sweep gives the Knights a perfect PAC record of 2-0 to start of the season. The Knights will remain idle until March 26 when the take on Rutgers Camden in a double header starting at 3:00 PM. .
