The Neumann College baseball team split a doubleheader with Misericordia, Saturday afternoon in Dallas, PA.
The Cougars blasted five home runs on their way to a 10-6 win in the opener, but the Knights were able to come back for a win in the second game when they ran past Misericordia, 8-2.
Kevin Lengyel had three hits in the opener, including a single RBI and a three run homer.
Josiah Hughes and Joseph Slater both added RBIs for the final margin of game one.
Lincoln-Kaleigh Schrock and William Guarino got on base early with singles and were the first runs for the Knights in game two. The sixth inning opened the game up for the Knights when they were able to get four more runs after two in the fifth. Kevin Lengyel reached first base on a walk and Ryan Nason reached on a single. Neumann took advantage of a error at 3rd base and sent Lengyel home. Sean Quigley blasted three run double late in the inning to produce the final margin of 8-2.
Raymond Schmoltze comes away with the win for the Knights after pitching the entire seven inning game. Schmoltze faced 30 batters and struck out four with ten hits.
Neumann will host Haverford in a non conference game, Tuesday at 3:30.
