Box Score

Aston, PA-The Neumann College Baseball Team fell to the Gwynedd-Mercy Griffins 15-7 in a PAC match up. The Knights fell behind early and could not regroup as the Griffins went on to win game one of the three game series.

The Knights fell behind in the top of the second when the Griffins scored three runs on four hits taking the early 3-0 lead. Gwyneed-Mercy would add four more in the third inning taking a 7-0 lead on the Knights.

Neumann would get some runs back in the bottom of the third when Ryan Nason hit a RBI single and Linclon Schrock would hit a sacrifice fly to cut the lead to 7-2. Gwynedd would answer right back scoring four more of their own taking a 11-2 lead.

The Knights would add five more runs on the scoreboard but it was not enough as they fell 15-7. Ryan Nason led the Knights going 3 for 4, 3 RBIs and a walk. Dave Dragone had two hits on the day and 2 RBIs.

Neumann will play a double header against Gwynedd-Mercy tomorrow starting at 12:00 PM.
