Box Score

Atlantic City, NJ- The Neumann College Baseball team fell to Richard Stockton 14-1 in a non-conference match-up.  Neumann was held to just four hits on the game and the team was only able to bring home one run in the fifth. The Knights would not be able to recover from Stockton's seven-run first inning and were sent home with the loss.

The Ospreys were on the fast track in the first inning putting up seven run on six singles and two Neumann errors. Stockton went on to score two more both in the second and third innings and three in the fourth pushing their total to 14 putting the game out of reach for the Knights.

Despite a fourteen run deficit, Neumann showed some life in the fifth. Geroge Hatton was the lead-off hitter and got on base with a single. Sean Quigley would come aboard on a pitching error putting runners at first and second. Later, Hatton and Quigley both advanced on the steal. Brian Alburger was up late in the inning. He grounded out to the short stop but was able to earn the RBI for the Knights sending Hatton home giving the team their only run on the game.

The Knights look to rebound from the loss this weekend in a three game series against PAC rival Centenary College.
