Wayne, PA - The Neumann College men's tennis team (7-3, 5-1 PAC) won its sixth consecutive match and fifth straight Pennsylvania Athletic Conference match by defeating Eastern University 7-2 on Tuesday afternoon while visiting the Eagles.
The Knights continued their winning ways while capturing the team doubles point in three matches. John Slinka and Andrew Bitar fell to Eric Walter and Taylor Kiser but partners Barry Harvey and Dan Harnos and Christopher Brown and Greg Bridgeman defeated their opponents to carry the point.
Sophomore Dan Harnor (Lanoka Harbor, NJ/Lacy Township) won his seventh straight singles match when he defeated Dan Wilson 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 4 singles spot. Seniors Barry Harvey (6-2, 6-2, #6 singles) and John Slinka (6-3, 6-2, #3 singles) are on a six match win streak after defeating Josh Hall and Sean McGuinness respectively. Andrew Bitar (Dedham, MA/Dedham) on a 5 match win streak, defeated Jonathan Falcone 6-2, 6-1.
Freshman Greg Bridgeman (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddon Twp.) defeated Taylor Kiser 5-7, 6-0, 6-4 in the No. 2 match to close out the Hoyas, 7-2 victory over the Eagles. The win makes it his fifth win overall.
Neumann will next take the court when they travel to Glenside, PA to take on Arcadia University on Wednesday, April 9.
