WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Neumann College women's ice hockey team fell in an afternoon game at Williams College, 5-3, Saturday in non-conference action.

Jessica Schroeder and Carly Fitzsimmons each netted a goal and an assist for the Knights.

Williams opened the scoring 11:01 into the first period. Nicole Alexopoulos evened the score at one, off an assist from Jasper Thomson. The Ephs would score again in the first to take a 2-1 lead at the intermission.

The Ephs scored three goals in the second period. Schroeder netted her goal at the 13:58 mark on the power play as the only Knights goal of the period.

Fitzsimmons scored at the 8:06 mark of the third period to make the score 5-3, but Neumann could not get any closer.

Mel Brunet made 28 saves as Neumann is now 7-8 on the season. The Knights will travel to Courtland State next weekend for a pair of ECAC West contests.
