HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Neumann University men's soccer team shutout Centenary College, 6-0, Saturday afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) match-up.
The Knights scored three goals in each half. Zach Sell netted three goals for Neumann. Andrew Leissing notched two assists on the afternoon.
Nathan Beidemann opened the scoring in the 14th minute of the contest. Sell scored hits first goal, off an assist from Leissing, three minutes later to put the Knights up 3-0. Sell notched another goal with five minutes left in the first half for a 3-0 lead at halftime.
Ryan Bushbeck scored for the Knights in the 52nd minute. Sell netted his third goal of the game, off an assist from Andy Attah. Sergio Garcia capped the scoring for the Knights in the 69th minute. Zac Ratliff made two saves in net en route to the shutout.
Neumann improves to 5-4-1 overall and 3-0 in the conference. The Knights will look to remain perfect in conference play when they host Immaculata on Wednesday. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
