Women's Basketball Tames Raptors

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team defeated Rutgers-Camden University, 92-50, Thursday evening in non-conference action.

Brittany Whetts led the Knights with a double-double, 18 points and 13 rebounds. Krista DiRomualdo netted 10 points. Nicole Feby and Jordan Elgart both notched nine points. 14 different players put points on the board en route to the Knights 92 points. 

The Raptors were led by Brittany Turner with 15 points. Karmina Blackwell added 10 points. Regina Ondah grabbed 11 boards.

Neumann took control of the game early and built a double-digit lead nine minutes into the game, 24-14. The Knights kept the pressure on and held a 22 point advantage, 45-23, at halftime. 

In the second half, everyone got some playing time. Jess Foulks netted eight points, a team high in for the half. Elgart connected on two three-pointers for six points while Coleen Healy added six points of her own. The Knights outscored the Raptors by 20 in the second half and took home the 92-50 win.

Neumann (5-2) will host Moravian on December 30 at 7 p.m. at the Mirenda Center.
