GENEVA, N.Y. - The Neumann College men's hockey team fell to #6 Hobart College, 6-2, Saturday afternoon in a ECAC West action.

Matt Ward and Kyle Casey each scored a power play goal for the Knights. Casey also added an assist.

Jason Merritt scored two goals for Hobart. Bobby Cahill netted a goal and an assist. Thomas Capalbo notched two assists.

The Statesmen scored two shorthanded goals in the first period and took a 2-0 lead at the first intermission.

Hobart scored three goals in the first five minutes of the second period to take a 5-0 lead. The Statesmen added another shorthanded goal at the 11:23 mark.

Neumann got on the board as Ward and Casey netted their power play goals a minute a part to get on the board. Charles Paterson and Casey assisted on Ward's goal. Marlon Gardner and Mike Hedden had the helpers on Casey's tally.

Matt Tendler made 13 saves in net as he got the start. Ross MacKinnon made 12 saves. Neumann is now 12-9-2 and 6-5-2 in the conference. The Knights will wrap up regular season play next weekend with a pair of games at Lebanon Valley.
