ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann College women's basketball team defeated Marywood University, 73-61, Thursday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action to wrap up its regular season.

Brittany Whetts once again led the way with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Cecily Scavicchio scored a game high 19 points. Katie Young pulled down 10 rebounds.

Marielle Thorsen led the Pacers with 13 points and nine rebounds. Stephanie Fusaro netted 12.

The Knights held the pace for the first half. With Neumann up 18-16 at the 12:28 mark of the first half, the Knights went on a 19-0 run over the next seven minutes to take a commanding 37-16 lead. Neumann took an 18 point advantage into halftime.

Marywood started to chip away at Neumann's lead in the second half. The Knights held an 11 point lead, 60-49, with 8:31 left on the clock. The Pacers then went on an 8-2 to cut the lead to five, 62-57. But that is as close as they would get as the Knights allowed Marywood just four points in the final six minutes.
