ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann College men's tennis team defeated conference opponent Keystone College, 9-0 Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
The Knights opened the match by taking all three doubles matches and only giving away one game to Keystone. First doubles of Dave Pfister and Brian Crispin defeated Phil DelTorto and Sean Hanahue 8-1. Chris Brown and Dan Harnos at No. 2 doubles, and Steve Klenk and Greg Bridgeman at No. 3 doubles both won 8-0.
The Knights won in straight sets in all six singles matches. Pfister defeated DelTorto 6-0, 6-1. Chris Brown clinched the match for the Knights 6-0, 6-0. Brian Crispin defeated John Moran 6-0, 6-0. Greg Bridgeman continued his winning streak in conference action defeating Brian Jonas 6-0, 6-0. Dan Harnos won at 5th singles defeating Rob Gilroy 6-1, 6-0. Steve Klenk defeated Isaiah Mosley 6-0, 6-0.
Head Coach Gosseaux stated, “I am very pleased with the teams overall effort today, we look forward to the coming stretch of grueling matches.”
The Knights return to action back on the courts, tomorrow at Goucher College. The match is slated to start at 1:00 p.m. The Knights improve to 6-1 overall, 2-0 in the CSAC.

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann College men's tennis team defeated Landmark Conference opponent Goucher College, 8-1, Sunday afternoon in a non-conference match up. The win boosted the Knights to a 7-1 overall record so far this season.
The Knights got off to a quick start, winning two of the three doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead heading into singles play. David Pfister and Brian Crispin fell to Michael Brooks and Steve Baum 7-9. Neumann received victories from Chris Brown and Dan Harnos over Goucher's Alex Vogel and Billie Weiss 8-3 at No. 2 doubles. Greg Bridgeman and Steve Klenk defeated Jeff McLeod and Francisco Barrera 8-4.
Pfister defeated in straight sets Gopher's Michael Brooks 6-4, 6-4. Brown battled to win the first set in a tie breaker but came out virtuous winning the second set 7-6 (7-3), 6-3. Crispin gave a point to the Knights defeating Steve Baum 6-4, 6-4. Bridgeman triumphed over Billie Weiss 6-2, 6-3. Junior Harnos and senior Klenk picked up the other singles wins for the Knights at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
The Knights return to action Tuesday, March 24, when they head to the University of Scranton to face another Landmark opponent.
