Men's Tennis Serves 9-0 Victory at Immaculata University

IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Neumann College men's tennis team defeated Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Immaculata University, Tuesday afternoon in a conference match up. The win boosted the Knights to an 12-3 overall, 5-0 in the CSAC.

The Knights swept all three doubles points, without giving up any games.  The duo of David Pfister and Brian Crispin defeated Bobby DeYoung and Demetrios Vlahos 8-0.  Chris Brown and Dan Harnos triumphed over Dave Harlan and Nick Tarlecki 8-0.  Steve Klenk and Greg Bridgeman captured an 8-0 win, over Andre Brooks and Michael Pancoast.

In singles play, the Knights only gave up five games out of 72 en route to capturing all six singles points. Pfister defeated DeYoung 6-1, 6-0. Brown made quick work of Tarlecki at second singles 6-0, 6-2.  Bridgeman downed Harlan 6-1, 6-1.  Dan Harnos and Steve Klenk rolled their opponents 6-0, 6-0 at fourth and fifth singles receptively. Abe Joseph clinched the win for the Knights, defeating Brooks 6-0, 6-0, at sixth singles.

The Knights return back to action tomorrow, when they travel to face the Griffins of Gwynedd-Mercy College. The match is set to start at 3:30.
