ASTON, Pa. – Nica Meccariello scored in the 95th minute to give the Neumann University's women's soccer team a 1-0 win in overtime against Albright College Friday night in non-conference action.
Meccariello had a breakaway with time winding down in regulation, but hit the crossbar.
In the overtime period, Jordan Cassidy had a breakaway for Albright, but Neumann goalie Jacqueline McAllister stuffed the attempt at the top of the box.
Meccariello had a chance for a redo in overtime. The freshman dribbled down the field and hit the net in the 95th minute to give the Knights the 1-0 win.
McAllister made nine saves in net for the Knights.
Neumann evens its record at 3-3-1 on the season. The Knights will face Lancaster Bible on Wednesday. Game time is slated for 4 p.m.
