CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – Nica Meccariello scored in overtime to give the Neumann University women's soccer team a 4-3 win at Baptist Bible Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
Heather Hopkins scored the only goal in the first half off of a free kick to put the Knights up 1-0.
Baptist Bible evened the score in the 54th minute. Kristin Ambrose and Alanna Daniel then scored to give Neumann a 3-1 advantage. Daniel and Olivia Pryzbylkowski assisted on the goals. The Defenders scored goals in the 72nd and 85th minute to tie the game and send it into overtime.
Meccariello score in the 93rd minute to give the Knights the win.
Brittany Russ made four saves in net as Neumann improves to 6-6-1 overall and 5-3 in conference action.
Neumann will host Gwynedd-Mercy College in CSAC play on Tuesday beginning at 4 p.m.
