ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University remains undefeated in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action with a 3-1 win over Marywood University Saturday afternoon.
Bob Mastrillo made six saves in net. Evan Morgan, Alfred Baa-Adomako and Michael Frei scored for the Knights. Andy Attah notched two assists while Joshua McMillon also dished out an assist.
The teams were back and forth in the first half and went into intermission scoreless.
Morgan broke the scoreless tie with a goal in the 61st minute, off a pass from McMillon. Baa-Adomako headed in a shot by Attah just under two minutes later for a 2-0 Knights lead. Frei scored an insurance goal in the 78th minute.
Marywood did not go quietly and spoiled the shutout with 11 second left on the clock.
Neumann (11-3-1, 7-0 CSAC) will travel to Philadelphia Biblical University on Tuesday for a CSAC contest beginning at 3:30 p.m.
