Men's Soccer 8-0 in CSAC with 4-1 Win Over PBU

LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Neumann University men's soccer team won its eighth straight match and improved to 8-0 in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play with a 4-1 win over Philadelphia Biblical University Tuesday afternoon.

 

Andrew Leissing scored twice for the Knights. Zach Sell netted a goal and notched two assists. Joseph Avvento also tallied for Neumann while Nathan Beidemann dished out an assist.

 

The Knights defense held the Crimson Eagles to just one shot in the contest.

 

Neumann came out strong and netted all four of its goals in the first 15 minutes. Sell scored first in the fifth minute. Leissing then netted his two goals in the eighth and 13th minutes. Avvento capped the Knights scoring in the 14th minute.

 

Philadelphia Biblical scored its goal late in with game with 5:48 left on the clock.

 

Neumann (12-3-1, 8-0 CSAC) will wrap-up the regular season on Saturday afternoon when it hosts Rosemont. Before the 1 p.m. contest, the Knights will honor its seniors.
