CLARK SUMMIT, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team picked up a convincing 73-50 win against Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Baptist Bible College.
The Knights were led by Nicole Feby who netted 17 points while Brittany Whetts added 12 points.
The Defenders had two players in double figures. Laura Hodupp and Jessica White each scored 10 points in the contest.
Neumann quickly took control of the game in the first half. Within the first ten minutes of play the Knights took a ten point advantage, 20-10. Neumann continued to extend their lead throughout the remainder of the half. The Knights capped an 11-3 run with five minutes remaining to take a 31-13 lead. At the close of the first half Neumann had a 20 point margin, 39-19.
The Knights continued to outpace the Defenders in the second half with points being spread amongst several players. With 13:02 remaining in regulation Baptist Bible pulled within 15 points, cutting the lead to 46-31. The Defenders would not be able to pull any closer.
Neumann, who improves to 17-5 overall and 12-1 in the conference, is back in action Thursday evening against Immaculata University. Tip-off is set for 6p.m.
