ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Men's Tennis defeated Eastern University, 6-3, on the road in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

Neumann held a 2-1 lead in the match following doubles action as the Knights No. 1 team of Dan Harnos and Chris Brown winning, 8-1, against Jordan Gates and Tyler Hoagland. Third doubles duo of Abe Joseph and Greg Christiansen won, 8-5, over Jonny Shenk and Josh Hall.

The Knights took four of the six points to win the match. Brown battled past Gates after dropping the first set, 4-6. He bounced back in the second set to win 6-1 and won the match with a 10-6 third set tiebreaker.  Bridgeman fell to Arnett 6-1, 6-0. Brian Crispin took care of business at third singles winning 6-4, 7-6 (7-5), over Wilson. Harnos defeated Hall 6-4, 7-5 at fourth singles. Christiansen fell at fifth singles to Hoagland 6-2, 6-3. Joseph clinched the win for Neumann defeating Shenk in two sets, 6-2, 6-4.

Neumann returns back home when they face junior college opponent Gloucester Community College tomorrow afternoon, the game is set to start at 3:30pm.
