LANCASTER, Pa. – The Neumann University golf team tied for fifth place out of 17 teams at the Bent Creek Invitational, hosted by Franklin & Marshall, Monday afternoon.
Franklin & Marshall finished first with a score of 296. Messiah placed second (302) and Wesley came in third (308). The second F&M team came in fourth, four shots ahead of the Knights with a score of 312. Neumann tied with Immaculata for fifth at 316. Alvernia was one shot behind, 317, and Gettysburg and Moravian two shot off at 319.
Keith Mastronardo led the Knights and placed fifth overall with a score of 73 on the par 71, 6,232 yard course. Chris Donohue tied for 22nd with a score of 78. Rich Brandel finished tied for 43rd shooting an 82. and Shane Howey and Matt Waddington tied for 49th with a score of 83.
Neumann will compete at the Immaculata Invitational on Thursday afternoon. Tee-off time is slated for 12:30 p.m.
