GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team fell to Messiah College 56-43, Thursday evening in non-conference action.

Katie Young once again notched a double-doubles with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Sami Borcky added 12 points.

Nicky Hess and Taylor Miller each netted 12 points for Messiah. Tremaine Simmons added 11.

The first half featured four ties with Messiah holding the largest lead of five points, 19-14 and 21-18. The Falcons held a three point advantage, 21-18, at halftime.

Messiah built its lead up to 10, 35-25, with 9:04 left in regulation. The Falcons kept the Knights at arms length for the rest of the half for the 56-43 win.

Neumann (6-6) will get back to conference play next Thursday evening when it hosts the College of Notre Dame. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
