ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's soccer team blanked Baptist Bible College 4-0 on Saturday in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) match-up.
Andrew Leissing led the team with two goals as he celebrated senior day. He was joined by Lee Collins, Joe Larkins and winning keeper Bob Mastrillo.
Michael Frei opened the scoring in the 11th minute as he sprung free down the field off a pass from Dan Chrashewsky. Chrashewsky then scored a goal in the 18th minute as he put in the rebound off a penalty kick then went off the post. Leissing scored his first goal in the 42nd minute to put the Knights up 3-0 at half.
Leissing capped the scoring in the 59th minute to give Neumann the 4-0 win. Mastrillo made three save in net to pick up the shutout.
Neumann improves to 9-4 overall and 6-1 in the conference. The Knights will host Keystone on Tuesday evening in CSAC action beginning at 7:00 PM.
