GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team concluded its 2011 regular season with a 4-3 loss to Gwynedd-Mercy College in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on a rainy and cold Thursday evening.

The Griffins jumped on the board just 2:59 into the game and made it 2-0 in the 25^th minute.

The Knights would then score three unanswered goals before halftime. Heather Hopkins put the ball in the back of the net in the 28^th minute. Alexis Tiernan tied the game at two in the 30^th minute off a corner kick. In the 32^nd minute, Allie MacNeill put Neumann up 3-2 on a penalty kick.

Gwynedd-Mercy tied the game at three in the 74^th minute and then notched the eventual game-winner in the 79^th minute.

Briana King made four saves in net. Neumann finishes the regular season 12-5 overall and 9-2 in the conference. The Knights will now wait to see if they will be the No. 1 or No. 2 seed in postseason play.
