RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann University men's soccer team won a thrilling 2-1 contest at Cabrini College on Wednesday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
Cabrini struck first in the ninth minute as the ball was knocked into the corner of the net. That would be the only shot-on-goal that the Cavaliers would get on the afternoon.
Four minutes into the second half Evan Morgan tied the game at one when he directed a cross pass from Brandon Green.
Each team would have chances to break the tied score, including a shot from Andrew Leissing that the Cabrini keeper dove for the save. Then, with 1:43 on the clock, Michael Attalian scored the game-winning goal off a pass from Morgan.
With the win, Neumann improves to 7-3 on the season and 4-1 in the conference. The Knights are off until October 15 when they travel to Centenary for a CSAC game beginning at 3:00 PM.
