CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team defeated Baptist Bible College 4-1 on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
Emily Sanders put the Knights on the board in the 14th minute. The Defenders then scored in the 24th minute as the ball deflected off of keeper Briana King.
As the first half was winding down, Nica Meccariello found the back of the net with 30 second on the clock and the Knights went into halftime with a 2-1 lead.
Alexis Tiernan hit a long shot off the crossbar and into the net in the 56th minute for a 3-1 score. For good measure, Megan Malstrom found the back of the net in the 68th minute.
King made nine saves in net as the win keeps the Knights undefeated in conference action, 5-0-2, and improves to 7-4-2 overall.
Neumann travels to Rosemont College on Tuesday for CSAC action beginning at 4:00 PM.
