ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Neumann University men's soccer team ended its season losing to Lebanon Valley College, 4-1, in the ECAC South tournament Wednesday afternoon.

The Knights limited Lebanon Valley to any real scoring threat in the opening 20 minutes. But one thing that has plagued the Knights throughout the season would be the opponent getting one opportunity and cashing in. The Dutchmen took a 1-0 lead into halftime.

In the second half, the Knights pressed for scoring chances. A Lebanon Valley corner kick created breathing room as the ball was initially cleared by a Knight defender, but only to see the ball cleared into another Knight defender giving way for a Lebanon Valley attacker to pounce on the ball and score three yards from goal.

After being down 3-0, the Knights staged an entertaining final 15 minutes. Michael Atallian scored off a Francis Kailondo flick from a Michael McCarthy throw in.

The Knights created numerous opportunities, including when the Lebanon Valley keeper made a fantastic save on Kyle Tysoe's strike from the side of the penalty box. There was also a free kick right on the 18 yard box as Kailondo was fouled. Atallian was dangerous as he was a nuisance for Lebanon Valley.

Both teams managed 16 shots. Tim Glaccum made three saves in net.

Neumann finishes its season 12-7-3.
