ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team fell to Manhattanville College, 81-56, on Monday night in non-conference action.

JoHanna Metzger and Brittany Humenik each netted 10 points to lead the Knights. Laura Scott pulled down 12 rebounds.

The first part of the game featured two runs, the first one by the Valiants in which they took a 13-6 lead. The Knights chipped their way back in for a 16-14 Manhattanville lead with 11:31 on the clock.

Over the next four minutes, Manhattanville went on a 13-0 run for a commanding 29-14 lead. The Valiants never looked back and held a 43-26 lead at the break. Manhattanville did not let up on the pressure in the second half and cruised to the 81-56 lead.

Neumann (81-56) will host Rowan on Thursday evening in the first game of a doubleheader, beginning at 6:00 PM.
