IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball team fell at Immaculata University, 69-61, on Wednesday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

Bethany Humenik had a double-double for the Knights with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Erica Marvel connected on 12 points. Laura Scott and Colleen Hinde each netted 10 points.

The game came down to the final four minutes of regulation. With 4:02 left on the clock, Scott tied the two teams at 58, the ninth time in the game there had been a tied score. The Mighty Macs would hold the Knights to just three free throws throughout the remaining part of regulation and Immaculata came away with the 69-61 win.

The start of the game featured a close played game with seven lead changes and six tied scores. With the teams knotted at 22-all with7:54 on the clock, the Knights went on a 9-2 run over two minute span to jump to a 31-24 advantage. Neumann held a 35-29 lead heading into the break.

The Knights held the lead for the first part of the second half before Immaculata tied the game at 39 with 14:11 left in the game. Neither team would let the game get out of reach with the biggest lead being five until the final four minutes.

Neumann (10-11, 9-3 CSAC) will host Cedar Crest on Saturday afternoon in conference action. Tip-off is slated for 1 PM.
