IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Neumann University women's basketball season came to an end with a 60-45 loss at Immaculata University in the first round of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) playoffs on Monday evening.

The game would be decided in the second half. The Knights took their first lead of the game, 37-36, off a three-pointer by Erica Marvel. Neumann would build its lead up to as many as six, 45-39, with 8:33 left on the clock. However, the Knights would not be able to put another point on the board as the Mighty Macs finished on a 21-0 point run.

Neumann started slow form the tip-off and would play catch-up for the entire first half. Immaculata would hold a lead as big as 15 points, 32-17, in the last minute of the half.

The Knights would start to chip away at the Mighty Macs lead in the second half and would take their only lead on back-to-back three's by Brittany Wood and Marvel.

Bethany Humenik led the Knights with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Sami Borcky netted 12 points and nine boards.

Neumann finishes the 2011-12 season 11-15 overall.
