LAFAYETTE HILLS, Pa. – The Neumann University men's golf team opened the 2012 spring part of their season on Monday in a tri-match with Philadelphia University and Rowan University at the ACE Club.

Philadelphia University came in first with a team score of 330. Neumann placed second with a score of 337 and Rowan third, shooting 368.

Tyler Hiriak paced the Knights, shooting an 80 on the par 72 course. That was good for second overall. Chris Donphue shot an 83, Bruce Bandos 86 and Ryan Dreger an 88 to round out the scoring. Dave Gervais also was on the course and shot a 101.

Neumann will compete in the Eastern University Invitational next Monday, beginning at 12:30 PM at the White Manor Golf Club in Malvern, Pa.
