Box Score

ASTON, Pa. - On a cold September night the Neumann Knights hosted Gwynedd-Mercy College in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC). The game was tied 0-0 as neither team could light up the scoreboard. It took 110 minutes for the game to end as they had to go to two overtime periods.

Responsible for that was Briana King as she had two fantastic saves out her five total saves on the night.  She had one in the 16th minute as she got airborne for the save. She had another wonderful save in the 66th minute.  In the 45th minute Neumann almost scored on a free kick that got away from the goalie.  With five minutes left in the game Neumann almost scored again after Gwynedd-Mercy's goalie abandoned the goal.

For Gwynedd Mercy College, Christine Michalski had a couple of shots in the first half as she seemed to be the main offensive weapon. In the first half Gwynedd seemed to attack more, but in the second half Neumann took charge. The Knights found great joy in controlling the game with possession, but it was the final pass that suffered on the day.

The (2-3-1) Neumann Knights play next September 22 as they host Centenary college in hope of finding their first win in conference play.
